Birdwatching Group: Cygnets and a few other birds at Stover Country Park

What a beautiful morning we had to go around Stover Country Park only to see 22 different species of birds. And, I think, the Blackcap and Nuthatch was the closest we got to an ‘A’ list bird. They just weren’t about. Thankfully the bird feeder over the “canyon” was attracting the usual woodland birds........and the squirrels tidying up after them. But the sun shone for the whole time which was a plus for a birding morning.
Afterwards we went for lunch at The Claycutters Arms at Chudleigh Knighton just down the road where we enjoyed a very nice lunch. I do hope the Sidmouth brigade didn’t experience another ½ hour delay on the way back owing to the roadworks in Newton Poppleford.
