Kents Cavern

Kents Cavern is one of the most important Stone Age sites in Europe and one of Britain's best showcaves!
On your visit you'll go back to a time when the cave was home to ancient humans, sheltering from extreme weather, making fires, shaping tools and hunting Ice Age animals. As you walk through the extensive labyrinth of caverns, you'll be surrounded by 400 million-year-old rocks and spectacular stalagmites and stalactites.
The cavern is fully paved with electric lighting, handrails by the slopes and just 9 shallow steps throughout.
The Firestone Kitchen is a Gold Winner in Devon Taste of the West (Menu).
Alternatively bring a packed lunch and use the outdoor picnic area.
The House of Marbles
The House of Marbles are makers & purveyors of a world famous range of glass marbles, board games, classic toys, puzzles, pastimes & decorative accessories.
Watch live glassmaking in action, explore fascinating museums and marvel at what might just be one of the biggest marble runs in the UK. Enjoy browsing The Emporium, discover local treasures and treat yourself at The Old Pottery Restaurant.
